Aunt Susie’s Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

serves 8-10

12 ounce bag fresh cranberries
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup chopped dried apricots
1 tablespoon orange rind
1 cup orange juice
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup water

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, allowing the cranberries to “pop.”  Refrigerate the cranberry sauce and serve.  Sauce can be made a day in advance
Aunt Susie’s cranberry sauce pairs well with roasted turkey or chicken and savory meat dishes such as brisket or pot roast.
