These large firm tomatoes which BioNatur grows for Sun Belle in central Mexico have been bred with
four chambers. They slice perfectly to top a burger or to
be layered with mozzarella in a caprese salad. Each tomato weighs more then 7 ounces, so one tomato is sufficient for most family recipes. Left at room
temperature, a beefsteak tomato will continue to ripen and develop a deeper and sweeter taste.
This is because greenhouse beefsteak tomatoes, while picked ripe, can develop more flavor when left
on a window sill or kitchen panier.
